Are there any parking requirements?+
Just a few! Upon delivering the 12 foot horse trailer to your event (17 foot including the hitch), it will be pulled by our 15 foot truck and need enough room to park the trailer in its designated area safely. The trailer is too heavy to move by hand once it's parked in its designated area.
How far do you travel, and what does travel cost?+
We service DFW and surrounding areas from Dallas, Texas. Most events within 30 miles of Dallas include free travel; beyond that, most add a small trip charge of $2.50 per mile. Multi-day or week-long bookings where the trailer stays overnight may be priced differently. For questions concerning mileage cost, call 972-860-1740.
Do you offer a mobile bartender near me in DFW?+
Yes — our TABC-certified bartenders serve events across Dallas–Fort Worth, including Plano and surrounding communities. Share your date and location, or call 972-860-1740 to check availability.
How many guests can you serve?+
The Double R trailer comfortably serves backyard gatherings of around 30 guests up to larger events of 200+. As a rule of thumb we plan on one bartender per roughly 75 guests to keep the line moving — for bigger headcounts or a fuller cocktail menu we’ll recommend adding a second bartender when you inquire.
How do I book, and is there a deposit?+
Send us your date, location, and estimated guest count through the form on this page or give us a call. We’ll confirm availability and send a quote. Your date is held once the agreement is signed and the deposit is paid, with the balance due before the event. We’ll walk you through every step — nothing is locked in until you’ve seen the numbers.
Who supplies the alcohol — and what are the TABC rules?+
Both options work. With The Trailer (BYOB) you purchase and supply all the alcohol and we bring the bar, ice, garnishes, basic mixers, and cups. With The Whole Rodeo we handle beverage planning and the alcohol as part of your package. Either way, all of our staff is TABC and Food Handlers certified, we pour every drink ourselves, and we card anyone who looks under 30.
How many serving sides are there on the trailer?+
The Double R trailer has one main serving side, located on the driver side, so guests gather along a single bar front. We’ll help you position it so the line flows away from your dance floor or dining area.
Will you need access to power?+
No! We bring a large power bank battery with us to every event!
Is your staff certified?+
Yes! All of our staff is TABC and Food Handlers certified.
What if there is bad weather in the forecast?+
We are here to serve you under any weather condition! We also have portable bars that we can place inside your reception area to serve your guests inside, if need be. We keep an eye on the forecast in the days before your event and confirm the backup plan with you ahead of time, so no one is improvising on the day.
Can we place any vendor inside the trailer?+
We require that one of our staff be present at your event to bartend and monitor the trailer. Our bartender rate is $50 per hour per staff member for the night, four hour minimum per person.
How far in advance do I need to book?+
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance for most events, and 3–6 months in advance for weddings and large corporate events. Saturdays in spring and fall fill up fast — if you have a date in mind, reach out as soon as possible to check availability.
Do you serve events outside of Dallas?+
Yes — we serve the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding areas, including Fort Worth, Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen, Grapevine, Southlake, Rockwall, Arlington, and beyond. Most events within 30 miles of Dallas include free travel; past that, most add a small trip charge of $2.50 per mile. Multi-day or week-long bookings where the trailer stays overnight may be priced differently. For questions concerning mileage cost, call 972-860-1740.
Can the trailer set up at an outdoor venue?+
Absolutely. The Double R trailer is designed for outdoor events and we set up at backyard parties, ranch properties, nurseries, parking lots, parks, and open-air venues all the time. We just need a flat, accessible surface for the trailer and enough space for guests to gather around the bar. We’ll confirm the logistics with you before your event date.
What exactly is included in the rental?+
Every rental includes the trailer, our TABC-certified bartender(s), full bar setup and breakdown, ice, garnishes, and basic mixers. Depending on your package, alcohol may be included or you may provide your own. We handle all the logistics — you just tell us where to show up and what time. Additional bartenders, extended hours, and specialty cocktail packages are available as add-ons.
